Ambry Genetics

Insurance or $249 self-pay – Comprehensive hereditary cancer genetic testing that evaluates 70–90 genes associated with inherited cancer risk, including genes linked to breast, ovarian, colon, pancreatic, prostate, uterine, melanoma, stomach, and other hereditary cancers. This testing can help identify individuals at increased risk before cancer develops, allowing for personalized screening, earlier detection, and preventive strategies. It may also provide valuable information for family members who could share the same inherited risk. Testing can be completed with either a blood sample or saliva sample. At Caravel Health, we also offer blood testing, which allows Ambry to perform advanced DNA + RNA analysis on eligible panels, providing even more comprehensive results.

Ambry is in-network with most major insurance plans, verifies insurance benefits, and obtains prior authorizations when needed. For patients who prefer not to use insurance or whose insurance does not cover testing, Ambry offers a $249 self-pay option for their comprehensive hereditary cancer panel. They also offer a Financial Assistance Program, which we recommend all patients apply for, as many qualify for additional savings.

Galleri

$750 - A cancer screening tool that allows us to look for multiple cancers with a blood sample. This cancer screening test, called Galleri, allows us to look for a common cancer signal across multiple cancers and then can further specify where a positive signal may be originating from. Staying up to date with cancer screening is important and this test does not replace other forms of screening (colonoscopy, mammogram, etc) but is in addition to the routine screening to increase the odds of finding cancer in the early stages when they are most treatable. The cost is around $950 and the Galleri company has financing available. 

Genesight

$330 or less - The GeneSight Psychotropic test analyzes how your genes may affect your outcomes with medications commonly prescribed to treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. The GeneSight Psychotropic test provides your clinician with information about which medications may require dose adjustments, may be less likely to work for you or may have an increased risk of side effects based on your genetic makeup.

HART CADhs

$279 - A low cost, low risk, highly accurate (86% accuracy), cardiac diagnostic blood test for scoring known and unknown obstructive coronary artery disease. This test was also developed and validated in collaboration with researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital.  This test utilizes Artificial intelligence to select and combine a panel of three proteins: High sensitivity Troponin, Kidney Injury molecule and Adiponectin to provide a personalized score for each patient. It is more accurate (86%) than other standard care tests including stress test, genetic tests, and coronary artery calcium scores. No fasting is required to take this test.
